June 30th, Italy were eliminated from the Euro 2024 Round of 16. Concerns about Spalletti’s position have emerged, but today Italian Football Federation President Gravina confirmed that Spalletti will not be sacked.
He said: “Spalletti has our trust. We have a new competition in 60 days. We only need to value talent, because talent does exist. All of our youth teams have qualified for the final stage.”
“When we talked to Spalletti, our goal was 2026. We can have all our expectations, but we must always face reality. Nobody can guarantee results. We have to do our best. We all know that if we don’t qualify for the next World Cup, it will be a real disaster.”
