Croatian Football Federation Fined €105,000 for Fan Misconduct in Match Against Italy

On June 29th, the Croatian Football Federation was fined €105,000 by UEFA due to the misconduct of Croatian fans during their match against Italy.

Despite Modric putting Croatia ahead in the final group game, the team conceded a late equalizer, resulting in a 1-1 draw and Croatia’s elimination from the tournament.

The fans’ misconduct in the match against Italy resulted in three separate fines: €45,000 for throwing objects, including beer cups; €30,000 for igniting flares and fireworks; and €30,000 for unspecified improper behavior, bringing the total to €105,000.

Croatia was also fined €27,500 by UEFA during the group stage match against Albania for fans igniting and throwing fireworks inside the stadium.
