According to De Telegraaf, Manchester United have offered a five-year contract to Matthijs de Ligt.
Sources at the English club believe a deal could be reached in the near future.
In an interview with The Athletic last year, De Ligt described Erik ten Hag as the coach who had the biggest impact on his development. “Even when I was 18, he saw me as someone who could lead the team, set an example, and be a good captain,” De Ligt said. Under ten Hag’s leadership, the Dutch defender led his team to the Champions League semi-finals.
