The 2024 European Championship final will kick off in the early hours of July 15th. Ahead of the match, a foreign data agency has used its supercomputer to predict the outcome of the game.
The supercomputer simulated the Spain vs England match 10,000 times. The final conclusion is that Spain is more likely to lift the European Championship trophy once again.
According to the simulation results, Spain has a 40.5% chance of beating England within the 90 minutes of regular time, while England’s win rate is 29%. The two teams have a 30.5% chance of drawing.
In extra time and penalty shootouts, Spain is still the more favored side. The supercomputer believes that Spain will have a 60.4% chance of beating England to win the title.
This will be the third time the two teams have met in the European Championship. In the two previous encounters, England first beat Spain 2-1 in the group stage of the 1980 European Championship. They then drew 0-0 with Spain in the quarter-finals of the 1996 European Championship, and won 4-2 on penalties.
