Early on July 6th, Spain defeated Germany 3-1 in extra time in the UEFA European Championship quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals. In the 9th minute of the game, Spain midfielder Pedri was the victim of a reckless foul by German player Toni Kroos, and eventually had to leave the field due to injury.
According to the Spanish national team’s official statement on Pedri’s injury, the player was diagnosed with a Grade 2 sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

The footballer will remain with his teammates until the end of the current training camp.
