On July 8, England left-back Luke Shaw attended a press conference to discuss his injury recovery and the upcoming Euro semi-final against the Netherlands.
Troubled by a hamstring injury, Luke Shaw has yet to feature for England at this Euros, but he now says he is fully recovered and ready to face the Netherlands.
Shaw said: “Yes, of course, I’m fully ready now, it’s up to the manager ultimately, but I think I’m good to go.”
“I was hoping to be back for the second or third group game, but then I had a little setback which delayed my return. I was worried for a while that I might miss the Euros, but after the scan, the doctor confirmed it wasn’t serious. I still had a chance to make it back because it was just a small tear in training, a small problem.”
Furthermore, when asked about England’s style of play, Shaw said: “Winning is the most important thing, at this stage, it doesn’t matter how we play or whether people like it or not, we are in the semi-finals, that is what matters for us.”
