According to Spanish media outlet COPE, Spanish forward Ayoze Pérez has been diagnosed with an injury following the Spain-Italy clash, which could rule him out of the final group stage match against Albania.
In the second group game, Spain defeated Italy 1-0, securing their qualification to the knockout stage. Pérez came on as a substitute for the impressive Williams in the 78th minute. Despite limited playing time, the Real Betis player impressed. Unfortunately, a routine post-match medical examination revealed a health concern.
COPE reporter Concha reported that Pérez’s injury has been described as a right leg muscle strain. He will undergo further scans over the weekend to determine the severity of the injury.
